Perhaps you’ve experimented a little bit with concrete before and would like to learn more? Maybe even start your own craft concrete homewares business? You could even be a complete newbie to the world of concrete homewares but want to dive in head first and learn all the in’s and out’s straight off the bat.

During this workshop, I’ll show you how to make five coloured concrete pieces including an oval tray, a round vessel and 3 mini hexagon candle holders. We’ll use a quick set concrete so that you can all of take your pieces home on the day.

While they’re setting I’ll show you some other ways to make concrete homewares using things you can find around the house and I’ll also share all of the techniques I’ve learnt along the way including:

• Basic mold making

• The different types of concrete

• Techniques and finishes including marbling, layering and terrazzo.

• Sealing

• Failed and triumphant experiments!

Come armed with all your burning questions - I love sharing all my tips about working with concrete and about small business life.

All materials included. Aprons provided but best not to wear your favorite clothes, just in case.
